18 Yard Box has a look at the news which grabbed the headlines today.
Today we have some exciting transfer news. Where one club is trying to get their legend back to the club, the other seems to be planning a quiet January market.
Take a look.
David Platt, assistant manager at Manchester City, has announed that City are planning a dry transfer window.
He said, "I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't do any business." With City being linked with Walcott, Isco and Falcao, its hard to imagine this situation cropping up with the spending habit of the champions known to everyone.
Shocking as it may seem but City will have to chase the League leaders with the present squad they have as Mancini looks to be experiencing his most difficult period at the club yet.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger refused to be drawn under the transfer speculation of the club being linked to the Newcaslte United striker Demba Ba. With Arsenal taking on the Toon army on saturday Wenger said, "It is not right to speak about him because he plays against us tomorrow. If you ask 'do we sign him?' I say no."
Wenger also refused to announce any of his plans for the January transfer market publically but said that a move for the club legend Theirry Henry is still on. He said, "Any interest we have in any player has to be kept secret so I cannot come out with any names."
"I have not lost interest in him [Henry], he is still coming today to practise with us. I have not ruled out a move completely."
The Manchester United manager has hit back Alan Pardew stating that he makes a 'joke' of the referees. He also went on to say that Newcastle is a 'wee' club.
Ferguson, who went berserk on the touchline when the disallowed own goal of Johnny Evans was ultimately given to Newcastle, justified his actions by stating, "I was demonstrative but I was not out of order. The press have had a field day. The only person they have not spoken to is Barack Obama because he is busy. It is unfortunate but I am the manager of the most famous club in the world. Not Newcastle, a wee club in the north east."
"Alan Pardew has come out and criticised me. He is the worst at haranguing referees. He shoves them and makes a joke of it. How he can criticise me is unbelievable. He forgets the help I gave him, by the way", he said later.
